FieldLevel’s Brenton Sullivan, Plantible Foods, and more – 9/24/19

Last week saw another great Startup Grind event. Moderator Luis Martinezgave us an inside look at how the San Diego Airport Authority designed a startup incubator from the commuter terminal called the Innovation Lab . The terminal was left in tact from when it was shut down and now serves as a testing sandbox for new technologies. Under Rick Bellioti ’s vision, startups apply to a cohort and get the opportunity to learn how to work with the Airport and potentially sign a contract to test their product within. San Diego startups like AtYourGate , BaggageNanny , and over a dozen more have gone through the incubator, and Gina Jacobs has been leading the charge as Program Manager. Keep an eye out for the Lab’s next batch announcement.
This week on our Tacos and Tech podcast , we get to know Brenton Sullivan , CEO and co-founder of FieldLevel. The Solana Beach-based and Dodger Accelerator grad FieldLevel consolidated a San Diego, Los Angeles, and Ventura team amongst many other sports-tech startups . Give it a listen and reply with who you want to hear on the pod next.
