Bloombites: Sustainable San Diego Companies to Follow | April 13, 2021

by Neal Bloom
Happy April! We recently celebrated National Health Day by honoring the many companies in San Diego and their impact on global health. Check out some of the health tech companies we’ve covered and the advancements they continue to make.
April is also Earth Month, a reminder that we can reduce our footprint and make a difference. There’s a strong group of San Diego companies that are helping our planet, from eco-friendly ocean robots to stormwater management, smart pipe infrastructure, sustainability data management, and even up-cycled food and sustainably-made vodka. Check out some of the local sustainable-focused companies we’ve covered.
Here are some stories I am watching:
  • San Diego is continuing to attract companies, talent, and investors during the pandemic
  • Autonomous trucking tech TuSimple is going public at a $8B valuation, raising $1.5B
  • Sempra Energy is selling a 20% stake to KKR for $3.37B
  • First cell phone inventor Marty Cooper is publishing his story in a new book
Cheers,
